VISITAS

Visits for Schoolchildren

La Laboral makes several visiting possibilities available to organised groups, reserving in advance being necessary in all cases.

1. One Hour Guided Visit

Walk throughout La Laboral, including the Art and Industrial Creation Centre, the Corinthian Patio, stopping at the Square, the Theatre, the Church and finishing off by going up the Tower (due to daily equipping activity, the timetable to visit one space or another will occasionally be limited).

Frequency: according to the season. Check.

Participants: Minimum 20/maximum 55 persons per group. In the case of teaching centres or groups made up by minors the attendance of the group tutor(s) will be compulsory. One tutor for each 20 participants is recommended.

2. Visiting the Theatre: Curtain Up!

The old assembly hall of the old Laboral University was reborn in 2007 as La Laboral Theatre. This refurbished space equipped at the highest technical level opens its doors allowing us to learn about all its nooks and crannies. Accompanied by a guide we will visit the parts of the theatre that are unknown to us: the stage, the dressing rooms or the orchestra pit, receiving technical explanations on each of them. When going to the theatre, we simply sit down and enjoy the show without being aware of all that which is hidden… Are you not curious to find out what goes on behind the curtain?

Frequency: according to the season. Check.

Participants: Minimum 20/maximum 55 persons per group. In the case of teaching centres or groups made up by minors the attendance of the group tutor(s) will be compulsory. One tutor for each 20 participants is recommended.

Duration: 1 hour.

3. Laboral, a hidden town: laundry, kitchens and tower

A different guided tour which will help you to better understand and look into the history of the former “Universidad Laboral”. The visit includes a short explanation of the urban development of Gijón from Laboral Skydeck. Subject to availability of the spaces.

Frequency: according to the season. Check.

Participants: Minimum 20/maximum 55 persons per group. In the case of teaching centres or groups made up by minors the attendance of the group tutor(s) will be compulsory. One tutor for each 20 participants is recommended.
